About The Bailey & Waldie Family
Welcome to our Bailey & Waldie family tree.

Alas although this site was created back in July 2008, a number of computer and
related problems prevented us from establishing it until February 2009. Along with
this we have discovered several errors, some being caused by downloading our Gedcom
file from our Genes Reunited site.
For reasons unknown this transfer not only removed the year on some birth and death
dates, but also credited many long deceased folk with a 'still living' status! A form
of electronic resurrection?

This particular problem relates mainly to the 'Hendersyde' Waldie, Ormston and related
names. Work is currently on going to rectify the situation.

One important fact to bare in mind is that all our proven related Waldie's are marked
with a small 'BLUE' square. The fact that so many of the Waldies originate from the
Borders area of Scotland, Roxbourghshire and Kelso in particular, suggests that the
diferent branches of said family almost certainly originate from the same source.

Unfortunatly most of the early records were destroyed during the disastrous fire of
Kelso in 1684. This being so, only our proven Waldie connections are marked with
that 'BLUE' square. These "Unproven" are marked with an 'AQUA' square.

So happy hunting, and please do sign our Guest Book.
Markham & Iris.
